Minions 101: Automate Your Island

Skyblock is all about making progress even when you're not actively clicking blocks, and on OmneRealms, your best friends in that effort are Minions.

What Are Minions?

Minions are little automated workers you place on your island. They go about their business, gather resources, and store everything for you to collect later. You manage the whole crew from the /minions menu.

Types of Minions

There are three broad flavors, each covering a different kind of work:

• Farming minions — wheat, carrots, potatoes, beetroot, and nether wart.
• Mining minions — cobblestone and deepslate.
• Combat minions — including a slayer minion that fights nearby mobs.

That mix lets you build a setup that handles food, building blocks, and drops all at once.

How They Work

Each minion runs on a cycle: it does its task, stores what it collects, and repeats. As you upgrade a minion through its tiers, it gets:

• Faster at completing its cycle.
• Luckier with the drops it brings back.
• Bigger storage so you can leave it alone for longer.

Higher tiers are earned by upgrading in-game, so steady play pays off.

Where to Get Them

Your earliest minions come from crate rewards and progression, so opening crates and pushing through quests will flesh out your little workforce quickly. Crates, by the way, come in several tiers and sit at spawn — open them with keys you earn from gameplay, the AFK area, community goals, kits, and events.

Why They're Worth It

A well-developed minion setup is one of the best feelings in Skyblock. While you're off knocking out quests or just hanging out at spawn, your island keeps earning for you in the background. Coins flow in from the /shop, materials pile up for building, and your empire grows without you having to grind every minute.

Tip: Mix your minion types. Food, blocks, and drops all earn at different rates and serve different roles — a balanced setup keeps you ready for anything.

Start small, upgrade as you go, and before long your island will be humming along on its own. Happy automating!
